Legions
From Solium Infernum Wiki
Legion Properties
When you purchase a legion, it will appear on a random unoccupied canton you control next to your Stronghold. If there are none, it will appear on a random unoccupied canton you control anywhere on the board. If there are none, the legion is returned to the bazaar, no refund is given.
If your personal guard (the initial legion you start with) is eliminated. It will automatically reform after a number of turns. It will lose some stats in the process (Ranged, Melee, Infernal and HP; Loyalty and Level are uneffected). Some minimal basic testing indicates the time to reform varies from 3-7 turns, with higher ranks tending to reform faster. For example, if on turn 10, both a prince and a lord got the message that their personal guard had been killed (meaning they died as a result of turn 9's orders), the prince might be able to use the legion again as soon as turn 13, while the lord might have to wait until turn 17 to see his legion again. More tests/samples are needed!
When your legion reforms it will appear in one of three places
- If you control an unoccupied canton next to your Stronghold it will appear there
- If you control no unoccupied cantons next to your Stronghold it will appear in any other canton you control
- If you control no cantons next to your Stronghold AND no other (non-PoP) cantons, your Legion will reform next to your Stronghold and automatically capture the canton it reforms on
If you all of your cantons are occupied when it should reform, it will delay reforming.
You may purchase additional Legions from the Baazar while your starting Legion is reforming, this can result in you having more Legions than your Command Rating, there is no penalty for this.
For legions with upkeep, when you don't pay the upkeep, they return to the bazaar at the END of the turn (sometime after phase 6), so you can still use them to attack, support, etc. one last time.
Legion Combat
If a combat step happens twice, the extra step is added at the end. If a step is skipped, it will be skipped both times. For example, Melee Twice by itself will result in: Ranged-Melee-Infernal-Melee. Melee Twice plus Skip Melee will result in just: Ranged-Infernal. When there are more than three steps, the additional steps are moved to the next page.
Players who are in good standing with the Infernal Conclave (i.e. not excommunicated) lend combat support to each other against excommunicated players.
